10 Ways To Make More Money In Network Marketing

Network Marketing is an excellent way for the "average Joe or Jane" to make an extra income. This business concept has been around for decades, and it will not disappear any time soon. The reason for its popularity is simple... It Works! It does however, require lots of work and most importantly, dedication and persistence to get the job done. The best part is, once you are able to set up a solid network, your business becomes MUCH less time intensive. Almost like going on "autopilot". The key is to get there as fast as possible.

Here are just a couple of tips I have found to be helpful in maximizing your Network Marketing Business:

1. Use your products regularly. This is Number 1 for a reason, this is the most ignored part of ANY network marketing business. How do you expect your business to succeed if you will not even use your own products? It does seem silly to even have to bring this up, but there are many who are not using their own products, and wonder why they are not making any money. Make a commitment to use your products for a year, and see where your business goes.

2. Educate yourself constantly. This is very important! You must rid yourself of negative ideas, sometimes referred to as "stinkin thinkin". This can be done in a variety of ways. I recommend reading at least 15 minutes a day, but try to shoot for 30. Business and self-help books are a great way to start. Don't forget your Multi-level magazines, as they are full of tips and advice. Lastly, listen to cassette tapes on multi-level tips from top earners in your business.

3. Spend as much time as possible with your upline. Your upline should have only one goal in mind, To Help You Succeed! They are a vast source of knowledge and information. Mingle with top distributors in your group, or other groups, and ask how they made it. Most everyone should be more than happy to provide you with excellent tips and advice.

4. Present your products and marketing plan personally to at least one person daily. Remember above when I said you are going to have to work, well here it is. Now here is the key, the prospects to whom you present your plan, do not have to be yours personally. Show the plan for your downline, and not only will you create "security" by placing members in your downlines' downline, it will also give you a boost in your personal income! I can guarantee if you were to follow this rule for 6 months, you would create a downline with enough width and depth to create an income to sustain you and your family for life.

5. Care for your downline. An entire book can be written on this topic. Usually, it's the little things that show you really care. Try to maintain regular contact, and always praise your distributor's accomplishments. You can even offer incentives for specific achievements, such as money, travel, recognition, or other rewards, to help motivate your group.

6. Duplicate yourself by making distributors independent of you. This will help to multiply your time, thus making you and your group more effective. Always lead by example. Never stop recruiting, training and retailing. Remember the KISS formula - "Keep It Simple, Sweety" I know, I know, I changed the last word, but it maintains the meaning. This can be done my conducting simple, brief, yet dramatic presentations, and teaching your downline to do the same.

7. Create a large customer base. This is another largely ignored, yet very important, piece of your network marketing business. Many try so hard to build a huge downline, that they forget how much profit they could also make by selling their products to retail customers. Some people will just not want to become part of your downline, no matter how great a product/system you may have. This does not mean they will not be personally interested in your product. Try to make everyone your customer. Once you earn their trust, they will come to you more, and perhaps even join your downline later. Always "leave the door open", as people's needs do change.

8. Focus on your customers needs. You must give customers more than they expect, and always satisfy your customers complaints immediately. Try to listen 80% of the time, and talk only 20%. As stated above, your customers can be a huge source of future referrals and/or business. You must earn and maintain their trust. Once you have their trust, you can always ask for referrals, which leads to even more business and a larger downline.

9. Set daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals - and Write Them Down! You may have heard the expression, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." Breaking up a larger goal into smaller easily attainable goals, is the key to success. You cannot just jump to the end, you have to make progress everyday. Writing them down is another largely ignored, important tip to help you succeed. A goal is just a "passing thought", or "wish" until you put it in writing. That is when it becomes concrete and real. It is also a great idea to keep a business journal of your daily activities, as it will help you to become more productive and time-conscious.

10. Get Out There And Do It Now! All of the knowledge in the world is useless and unprofitable, until you put the most important ingredient of them all in place. This "secret" ingredient should come as no surprise at all, but this is the #1 reason for failure at anything in life. It is ACTION! Remember, knowledge is useless without action.

There are some great forums on the world wide web. A vast array of webmaster forums, search engine optimization forums, money making forums, Google forums, Yahoo forums, black hat forums, internet marketing forums, etc., exist in spades online. There are some awesome niche forums as well, for those marketers who prefer to hone their target audience in with scalpel-like precision. I don't know about you, but for my money, it's hard to beat Digital Point when it comes to money making potential via online forum marketing. It's truly an internet marketer's virtual candy store!

All major search engines are covered on Digital Point, especially Google. Microsoft is covered, and so is Yahoo. MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube - they're all dissected on the forum boards. Did someone say Craigslist? Who needs Craigslist when you have Digital Point - users buy, sell, trade, barter, and more on the forum. If you use affiliate programs as a part of your internet marketing strategy, then you know how important it is to promote the right products at the right time. For instance, do you think an aspiring affiliate marketer would have much success trying to sell used, old Atari's from eBay on Twitter? I think not (however, there is value in the Atari game system with some die hard collectors, believe it or not) - this is not 1985. Unleash The YouTube Producer Within You! (Part 2)

In part 1 of our YouTube marketing tutorial, we covered just a few of the best ways to create viral videos for YouTube. The three video creation and marketing tactics we covered in part 1 of our tutorial, you recall, were "The Insane", "The Unique", and "The Spin Off". Granted, these are three of the most successful media models for viral video success on YouTube, but they aren't the only one's that can bring you success.

The Animals

Remember the viral video of the cat riding around on the motorized vacuum cleaner? There have been several spin-off videos of "Roomba Driver" but none have been able to duplicate it's success. Some of the spin-offs have been viral hits in their own right, but the original takes the cake most of the time on YouTube.

If you have a crazy dog who does something unique, get it on video, upload it to YouTube, title it descriptively, and add a detailed description to it. If it's funny and unique enough, you may just be on your way to viral success my friend.

The Meltdown

Many people take great humor in others getting angry over stupid things. I know I do sometimes. Did you ever see the movie "Christmas Vacation" with Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo? Who hasn't right? The scene of Clark punching and kicking the Santa Clause then punching and karate chopping the reindeer brought tears to my eyes! The Sexy Lady

A mega-viral smash video hit, you remember vividly I'm sure, was "Obama Girl". The best of video has nearly 17 million all time hits, and counting. The catchy nature of the spoof is a small part of the viral success no doubt, but the unquestionable attractiveness of "Obama Girl" herself gave the video's mass drawing power. When the beautiful woman can sing well too, it's pretty much a surefire viral hit in the making.

The Cute Kid

Kids are cute, let's tell it like it is folks. If your child is a ham (many are), you may already have the formula to YouTube fame sitting right beside you. If your kid likes the camera and he/she has a special talent, I suggest you get that camera rolling and let them do their thing. Don't be surprised if your child achieves stardom in a short time on the internet, and even if he or she pursues a modeling or acting career down the road.

The Movie Buff

If you are anything like me, you pride yourself in being a total movie buff! Are you a huge fan of the Star Wars Trilogy, or do you prefer Indiana Jones - The Complete Adventures Collection instead? Maybe you really dig the "Oceans Trilogy"? Well whatever your taste in movies, it is quite possible that you can turn your box office passion into profits.

Did you happen to catch the viral video featuring the Star Wars fanatic displaying his talent with the light saber? His overwhelming passion for the series has earned him 15 million views, and counting. I don't know about you, but I will put up with a little bit of teasing and ridicule for a viral smash video like this, any day of the week! This kid would probably concur with my school of thought, don't you think?

The Physical Comedian

What do the late John Ritter, the late Lucille Ball, Will Farrel, Ellen Degeneres, Conan O'Brien, Rowan Atkinson, the late Don Knotts, the late John Belushi, Chevy Chase, the late Peter Sellers, Michael Richards (Kramer), Steve Martin, the late Chris Farley, and the late Alfred Hawthorne (aka "Benny Hill") all have in common? You guessed it - they're some of the best physical comedians that ever graced the big screen.

Physical comedy is also known as "slapstick", and it appeals to a vast audience. Aspiring slapstick comedians are born every day on YouTube, and although few are as entertaining as a Steve Martin, even slightly above average slapstick talent will give you a chance to go viral in this category. Not many people are willing to attempt this kind of comedic style because it can be embarrassing and self-deprecating. It takes thick skin.

I suggest you rub some sand paper all over your body (to toughen your skin a bit) and give physical comedy a shot. If you discover that you are a natural born Larry, Curly, or Moe, then be prepared to start your own YouTube Channel because your fans will be in line waiting to see more of you!

The Shimmy-Shake

Can you dance a jig? Can you gather a large group of people together to watch you? Can you put it on tape? If you answered yes to all three of these questions, you may just be in business.

One of the very first viral videos I ever saw was the Evolution of Dance. If you watch the video a few times, it becomes quite clear that it is very simple and self-explanatory. Mashing up those different dance songs is easily accomplished, with either an iPod nano , or an external USB CD-ROM burner drive

As for the dances themselves, the guy in the video is a decent dancer but he's no pro, by any means. If you can loosen up and shake your booty a little bit, and if you can go impromptu, that's good enough to go viral in the dance category on YouTube.

Here is my suggestion to you. Mash up some various classic dance tunes like this guy did (do not use the same songs he used, whatever you do! He may have a patent on this particular song mix. The video has over 160 million hits to date, and that is very powerful stuff - this makes him powerful as hell too!) and rehearse the dance steps for a few weeks. When you feel confident enough to shoot your video for YouTube, gather your crowd of people and go for it. No matter how it turns out, upload it to the social network, title it, and describe it in complete detail. If it's going to go viral, you will know within a week.

Conclusion

Well, this should get your creative juices flowing. In this two-part tutorial, you have been presented with ten of the very most powerful viral video models on the planet. Some of the models can be mixed and matched as well. Backpage On Pace To Overtake Craigslist Within Five Years

For a very long time now, Craigslist has topped the charts when it comes to online classifieds advertising networks. It is no surprise that the website is still on top in this category, but what might be a bit of a surprise to some is that Backpage (Craigslist competitor-in-chief, if you will) is on the fast track to one day leapfrog Craigslist as the top online classifieds network. How long, you ask, may it take for this to occur? Not too long at all. I predict, by 2015 Backpage will be ranked higher in the Alexa Top 500 Global than Craigslist. It's five years from now I realize, but this is still a bold statement, since at the present time Craigslist is in the top 50 and Backpage has not even cracked the top 1000 list. Backpage must climb 1000 spots just to catch up to Craigslist!

Here is the reasoning behind my semi-ludicrous thinking. Craigslist has evolved into a haven for scam artists, prostitutes, frauds, money launders, criminals, and even murderers. This is not pure speculation on my part, it has been well documented and covered by all the major media outlets around the globe. This negative publicity for Craigslist has led to a frenzy of new rules and regulations, put in place by the site's administrators. These ultra-strict crackdowns are beginning to alienate members of the large online community, especially those posting the ads. In fact, many of Craigslist's most loyal advertisers are bolting in favor of the up and coming online classifieds network, Backpage.

Backpage is strict as well, but seemingly only when necessary. If a stalker is suspected of prowling Backpage in search of potential victims, and the admins of the site get wind of it, obviously they are going to intervene and take action. The attractive nature of Backpage stems from the fact that it isn't overloaded with cut-throats who use automated software programs to "flag" their competitors ads by the thousands. Believe it or not, this is one of Craigslist's biggest drawbacks currently. The worst part of this debacle is that the Craigslist brass is well aware of the tactic, but they refuse to do anything about it because they feel that the community as a whole don't want the ads posted in the first place. They see the automated flagging bots as a good thing, if you can believe that one!

These days it seems that Craigslist is nothing but a hassle for sellers and marketers. If you post an ad which has a fair amount of competition, chances are your add is going to be flagged and removed for absolutely no reason whatsoever. If you do manage to get your ad to stick for any length of time, don't be surprised if it gets ignored. The site has become such a firestorm for controversy and skepticism, practically each and every ad posted on the site is now being dissected and over-analyzed by the community. More and more legitimate, upstanding ads are being wrongly deemed "scams" just because the community is so cynical these days. Think about this, many of the cynics have probably been scammed at least once on Craigslist. They aren't about to let it happen again.

Do yourself a favor. If you use Craigslist for internet marketing, wholesaling, affiliate marketing, trading, buying/selling, or whatever, give Backpage a whirl some time. You might be surprised just how refreshing it is to not have to keep checking your account for fear that your ad has been deleted or flagged. Hey, you might even jump ship like many other Craigslist faithful have. After all, even the mightiest fall, especially when they don't heed the red flags waving right in front of their noses.

Craigslist Fights Back Against Black Hat Affiliate Marketers By Unveiling a New Warning Page

If you visit the Craigslist jobs section on a regular basis, then you are probably well aware of all the fake job postings created primarily by affiliate marketers. If you are living on another planet and have never witnessed one of these bogus Craigslist employment opportunities in action, let me explain how it works.

A black hat affiliate marketer will sign up with a quality CPA network like Clickbooth and search for cost-per-action programs that pay per lead. Normally the program will pay the affiliate between $.50 and $100 per lead referred, depending upon how valuable the lead is to them. Typically black hat affiliates are drawn to email and zip code submission programs because they are easy to campaign and market. Black hat affiliate marketers love these kind of CPA programs because they can be rather easily manipulated creatively on large social networks like Facebook, Craigslist, and MySpace. Quite often, these below-the-belt scam artists utilize emotional response marketing in conjunction with a sneaky redirect scheme. It is this redirection tactic where they strike their victims below the belt because often times they send the candidate through hoops, inevitably leading them nowhere. You see, what they are offering simply doesn't exist 99% of the time! Their solitary objective is for the "lead" to fill out a form, submit an email address or zip code, or some other required action on the part of the victim of this charade.

Craigslist has now taken some drastic (and very wise) measures to crack down on the manipulation and deceit being inflicted on many of it's innocent victims, at the hands of the black hat affiliate community. The visitors to Craigslist Jobs section now are confronted with a very detailed, bold typed warning page, which outlines the various objectives the scam artists are looking to achieve through their phony employment postings.

Since the implementation of the new black hat affiliate alert page, I have noticed many less scamish job postings. For instance, black hats like to use Gmail for their automatic account follow ups (vacation auto-responder), often creating hundreds, even thousands of gmail accounts to mass produce their results. Not surprisingly, since the site's smack-down on these villain affiliates, many less Gmail addresses are being used for job postings. I suspect that the black hats are altering their strategy as we speak, starting with dropping their Gmail email addresses (site users are now very skeptical of any ad that uses a Gmail response email address) from being displayed in their ads.

Will the ultra-strict Craigslist crack down on black hat affiliates work? Time will tell I guess, but I can tell you this much - there is no avoiding the new scam alert page. Potential employment seekers have no choice but to encounter this red flag in every single city, before they can continue to the job listings. Since there are several hyperlinks on the page, one has no choice but to at least browse over the jist of what the moderators have to say in order to find the "Continue To Job Postings" link. In my opinion it was a drastic step in the right direction for Craigslist, and a long time coming.

Unleash the YouTube Producer Within You! (Part 1)

Last I checked, YouTube ranked #4 (globally) with Alexa for the most visited websites on the internet. With an audience that diverse, the potential is there to make an absolute fortune. In order to do so however, aspiring video producers must play their cards just right. Viral is what you aspire to create, because if your video goes viral, you will become an instant internet sensation. You will have swagger, pull, and most importantly, power. With power comes money!

So what makes for great viral TV? Well for one thing, you will need a high quality video camera, which is capable of shooting high definition video to shine on YouTube. The Viral Factor

The Insane

I'm sure you've probably seen the many, many viral videos which have been produced out of sheer insanity. Remember the little boy who visited the dentist, and was videoed still buzzed up on Novocaine? His name is David, and the video is "David After Dentist". This video has almost 32 million YouTube hits to date! The best part of it is, exploitation of a minor for fame is crazy as hell, isn't it? I think so.

The Unique

These days, some of the most explosive viral videos are those based almost completely upon the premise of uniqueness. Think about it this way, when you shop for a new car do you settle for the same make/model that your parents have? Or do you shop for the car which is unique to you? YouTube surfers similarly shop for videos which are one-of-a-kind.

Think about some of the most recent viral video hits. Remember the wedding party entering the church, then proceeding to dance down the aisle to a hip-hop song? The "JK Wedding Entrance Dance" was the first of it's kind. It's uniqueness, coupled with the comedic factor of a wedding party having so much fun on their wedding day, made it an instant monster viral success. To date it has well over 27 million views!

The Spin-Off

About a week or two after "JK Wedding Entrance Dance" came this spin-off "JK Divorce Entrance Dance", which simply took the success of the first video and followed up on it. Much like a successful television sitcom spin-off - "Cheers" spun "Frasier", "Happy Days" spun "Laverne and Shirley", "Grey's Anatomy" spun "Private Practice", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" spun "Angel", etc, etc., captivating viral videos can also have successful viral spin-offs.

How To Promote Amazon Associates Program with Twitter (part 2)

In part one of this tutorial, we talked about promoting Amazon Affiliate Program with Twitter, and I helped you set up your Twitter profile so that it is optimized for both twitter search query's and Google Search. Now that you have your profile set up, let's do some altering so that your profile is one-of-a-kind.

Go to the 'Settings' tab at the top of the page and once you're there click on "Picture" and browse to a recent photo of yourself. You will want to use a real image of you, rather than something generic, because it gives off a much more warm, personal appeal to those who choose to follow your updates. If you don't have a photo of yourself, snap one real quick on your cell phone and upload it to Twitter. I mean after all, everybody has a camera phone these days, don't they?

Next, click on "Design" then go down to where it says "Change Background Image" and click on that button. Now you need a great little logo to use for your tile background image, so do another image search for something "bargains" or "deals" oriented. Something as simple as a piggy bank would work very well. Once you've found something you like, save it to your machine and then browse to it and upload it to your profile. Check the box that says "tile background" below the background you just uploaded. Then click save changes and see how it looks. If it's all good, then you're ready to roll!

Now you need to join the Amazon Associates Program, in the case that you aren't already enrolled. Once you're all set up and are approved into the program, it's time to find the content you are going to use for your "tweets". Amazon has several blogs each with rss feeds you can use with twitter. Simply subscribe to the rss feeds for these amazon.com blogs, then go to this site - twitter feed.

To create an account at Twitter Feed, the best bet it to use an OpenID. If you have a account with Blogger, Yahoo!, AOL, or Google, then you're all set (I think this includes about 90% of the online market or better!). You can log in to OpenID by clicking where it says "Sign in with OpenID", then follow the instructions to either create an OpenID, or log in with your chosen OpenID credentials.

Note: You will need to be patient when using this site because it is very slow - it is likely overloaded with too many tweeter bloggers and such. Your patience will pay off big time in the long run though, I promise you that.

How To Use Amazon Daily Blog and Amazon Associates Blog with Twitter Feed

So now that you have a Twitter Feed account, you're an official Amazon.com Associate, and your Twitter profile is all pimped out, it's time to start tweeting!

Go to amazon.com and click the link at the top right (under the toolbar) of the page which says "Amazon Daily Blog", then when you're there click on the rss icon on the right. When the page comes up, right click the url in the address bar and copy it. Go to your Twitter Feed account and paste in the rss feed for the amazon blog, title it appropriately, and allow access to your Twitter account. All set! Now, every time the blog is updated, it will be posted automatically to your new Twitter as a "tweet"! Pretty cool, huh?

The number one key to successful AdWords campaigns is, not surprisingly, the ad itself. Well written ads will draw more clicks and a higher CTR (click-through-rate) than a poorly written ad, regardless of the keywords chosen for the ads. The good ad will yield a higher ROI as well, since CTR will be strong. The question is, what makes for a great AdWords ad? Is there a secret formula used by the AdWords masters? Well, quite frankly, yes.

You will be hard pressed to find these 5 simple tips to mastering great Google AdWords ads from any of the true gurus. You see, they don't want you to know these 5 steps because if you did, they might have to forfeit some of their obscene profits to their true competitors. God forbid!

Step 1 - Include Your Main Keyword in the Ad Headline

Keywords are the very important, as you likely know. This is no exception when it comes to writing effective AdWords headlines.

You want your target audience to click through your ad based on the keyword in the headline because they will be much more likely to convert into a sale for you. Including your major keyword wisely in the headline of your ad will not only convert better, but also outrank much of the competition who have bid on the same keywords you're bidding on.

Step 2 - Put the Main Benefit in the Second Line of Your Ad

Step 3 - The Third Line of Your Ad Should be Your Product's Feature

Your third line should be a primary feature of the product or package you are offering. If you sell collector's coins for example, you would want something like "Special 25% Discount Available Through September!"

Step 4 - Line four should be your display URL, Capitalized, with the included subdirectory

Ideally you want your display URL to draw the attention of the searcher, and capitalization is the most effective means of accomplishing this. You do not want to capitalize the entire URL, but rather, only the first letter after http or www.

Always include a subdirectory with the display URL indicating the word "Free". This word will really boost your CTR because people are looking for freebies now more than ever!

Your display URL must resolve to an actual page on your site, so keep this in mind above all else.

Step 5 - The fifth line, your destination URL, needs to land the visitor exactly on the download page for their free trial sign up

Never resolve your destination URL to your offer website's home page, in hopes that they will stumble upon the free trial page eventually. Trust me, most people will lose interest way before they find the free trial link!

You want to direct the customer to your goal for them, so to speak. When free and easy come together, success is the result!

If you haven't heard of Twitter, you must be from some other planet! Using the service is one thing, earning income from it is another story altogether. In this tutorial I will break down the Amazon Associates Program and how to effectively use Twitter to promote Amazon.com products and services. In the process, you will potentially earn a substantial online income.

The first thing you will need to do is create a Twitter profile, that is if you don't already have one. If you need to make one up real quick, go to Twitter and click the "Get Started - Join". Fill out the required information, and make sure to choose a username which is highly relevant to the Amazon.com niche market. For example, something like "amazonbargainking" or "superamazondealsfinder" would work well.

Note: Notice the word amazon is in the username - make sure you follow this example because your followers (and subsequent traffic) will be laser targeted to the service you will be offering, and more likely to buy through your affiliate links!

Once you have created your Twitter account, the next step is to spruce your profile up a bit. First click on the default thumbnail icon (black background with blue digits) to change it to something more relevant to your niche - amazon.com bargains/deals. Now do an image search for something to use for your thumbnail logo, such as an amazon.com deals icon (don't plagiarize, but rather, design your own custom logo instead at gr-sites). When you're satisfied with your design, save it to your computer, then upload it to Twitter as your new thumbnail. The best thumbnails are small and square, 700k max.

The next step is to choose a good sub-domain name. Click on 'Settings' at the top of the page on the right. 'Account' will be shown by default, so first enter your real name, then fill in a 'username' related to amazon.com; for example, "dealsonamazoncom" or "amazonbargainguru". The username you choose will serve as the main key to like-minded Twitter users finding you, so make sure you have the word 'amazon' in there somehow!

Enter your desired email address, change your timezone appropriately, then move down to the 'More Info Url'. Enter your website, blog, myspace, facebook, amazon affiliate page, or anything relevant to your twitter amazon niche.

The 'One Line Bio' is extremely important, so be sure to insert key phrases related to amazon.com deals and bargains. Emphasize your expertise in this area, this way you will be followed by those wanting to learn Amazon.com from you. Aspiring internet marketers and entrepreneurs are hungry for great information, and since Amazon is full of that, there is a good chance to sell relevant informational products to them down the road.
